Accommodation Services

In addition to our daily services, our accommodation staff will be pleased to provide the following items on request for your additional comfort: extra towels, blankets, toiletries, pillows, iron and board.

Accounts may be settled by cash or the following accepted credit cards: Laser Cards, Visa Card, Master Card, Maestro Cards and American Express.

Activities, Excursions, Tours

A daily activity program with in-house and outside events is available. Outside excursions such as Jaunting Carts, Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula or Gap of Dunloe Tours can be booked through our Front Desk. Other activities and tours are also available. For information and advice please dial “0”.

Airport

Kerry International Airport is located 17 km from Killarney town, approx. 20min drive and it’s the nearest to Killarney. Other International airports are Cork Airport (90km / 1hour 30min drive) and Shannon Airport (140km / 2 hours Drive). For other information about airport services please contact our Front Desk.

Baby Cots

Baby cots are available free of charge for children up to 3 years of age. Please contact the reception.

Baby Sitting

Please notify our Reception with your requirements for this service. Prior notice is recommended to guarantee availability. Babysitting charges and payments are to be arranged directly with the babysitter.

Banks

Major Banks are located within walking distance in Killarney Town Centre. The hotel also off ers foreign currency exchange services at a nominal fee.

Bars

Wigg’s Bar offers a truly relaxing atmosphere with an extensive beverage list. Food is also served in Wigg’s from
Monday – Thursday 5pm – 9pm
Friday 3pm to 9:30pm
Saturday 1pm – 9.3.0pm
Sunday 1pm – 9pm
Kayne’s located at our sister hotel right next door to us also serves food from 12.30pm – 9pm daily.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served from 8:00am to 10:00am in the Court Restaurant. In case of an early departure we can organize Continental Breakfast any time before 8:00am, please contact our Front Desk in advance. Breakfast to the room is also available at a cost of €10.00 per person for room service; simply fi ll out your breakfast card and hang it outside your door

Brunch

Brunch is served on Saturday & Sunday from 11:00am to 3pm in Kayne’s which is located in our Sister hotel right next door to us. A bottomless Brunch option also available.

Business Centre

For a full range of business services including photocopying, please contact reception. WIFI is available freely throughout the hotel There is no password for the WIFI – just log onto the Randles network. Our corporate pack is also available on request.

Check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Do not Disturb

If you wish to rest, kindly hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign outside your room on the door handle. Our accommodation team will not disturb your stay

Doctor/Dentist

If a doctor or medical assistance is required please contact our reception. Killarney has several Medical Centres and an emergency medical service called South Doc ( Tel: 1850 335 999 ).

Drinking Water

Enjoy complimentary filtered water from our hydration station located near the lift on the ground floor. The water in the hotel is from the Killarney Mountains area, which is cleaned and purified. The tap water in the rooms comes from the mains water supply and it is safe to drink.

Electricity

All outlets and guest rooms supply 220 Volt AC, single phase 50 HZ. If you wish to use your own appliances, you may need to use a power converter. Limited plug adapters are available through the Reception Desk (dial ‘0’).

Emergency

In the unlikely event of a fi re or any emergency please call the operator immediately and inform your case of emergency and location (dial ‘0’). Please note that fi re extinguishers are located outside your room in the corridor. We advise you to make yourself familiar with the emergency procedure listed below:
1) Call the operator by dialing 0.
2) Tell the operator your name, location and the case of emergency.
3) Try to block the fi re by closing doors and windows (if you feel confi dent).
4) Please leave the room and close doors and windows behind you.
5) Proceed to the assembly points sign posted in the Hotel car park.
6) Follow the instructions of the management and fi re fi ghters.
If you fi nd yourself calling the emergency services directly yourself, it is essential to let our front desk know. This will save valuable time for the emergency teams trying to establish what room you are in & help to speed up vital treatment on their arrival.

EV / Electric Car Charing Points

We are pleased to off er electric car charging points for our guests. Here are the details:

  • Location: The charging points are located across the road at the Randles Garage.
  • Availability: 24/7 for all hotel guests.
  • Cost: Charges apply for use of the charging point.
  • How to Use: Please park in the designated charging spot and connect your vehicle. If you need assistance, contact the front desk.
  •  Reservation: Charging spots are available on a fi rst-come, fi rst-served basis.

Express Check-In & Check-out

Express Check-in / out services are available through our portal at the front desk. Please dial 0 and your bill will be processed the night before departure.

Golf

Killarney is well known for its golfing facilities and has a tradition of hosting the Irish Open. For information and bookings please contact our Front Desk by dialling “0”.

Hair Dryer / Hairdressing

A hair dryer is provided in every guest room.
Hairdressing appointments can be arranged through the reception desk.

Flowers

Flowers for any occasion are available. Early notification is advantageous to guarantee excellent quality and timely availability. Please contact Reception (dial “0”)

Hospitals

For assistance with any medical emergency, please contact our Reception who will be happy to assist in arranging transportation and appointment with a doctor (dial “0”).

Joiner or additional Guests

Should you have booked a single room but have a person join you for an overnight stay a joiner fee is charged to your bill. This fee entitles your guest for a breakfast if your rate includes breakfast.

Key Card

Please keep your key card with you at all times. For security, report lost cards immediately.

Laundry

Laundry bags and lists of services are available in your wardrobe. Should your laundry not be collected on time, please contact Front Desk (Dial “0”). Please see detailed information on the laundry list in your wardrobe.

Lost & Found

Please contact our reception team who will be happy to assist you in tracing your lost or misplaced item(s).

Parking

A free of charge parking for our hotel guests is available at the Randles Hotel. A overfl ow carpark is also available across the road from the hotel, located behind the centra shop.

Pets

We are one of the very few hotels in Killarney that allows pets to join you on your break. Own bedding is needed and dogs should be kept on the leash at all times in the public areas of the hotel.

Postal Services

We are pleased to provide full postal services for you. If you need a stamp or deliver a parcel, our Reception team will be glad to assist you.

Randles Hotel is home tot he Court restaurant which is open for breakfast & private dining events. Please check availability and opening hours at Reception.

Room service menu is available during food service hours with a limited menu available outside of these times – Guests are advised to call the front desk for options.

There is a safe in each room. Safety deposit boxes are available. Please enquire at reception.

Personal demands from guests have made sustainability a vital part of our operations at Randles Hotel, with a strong commitment from management – to delivering a carbon-free hotel experience. Here are several initiatives Randles Hotel has embarked on to support sustainability;

Energy Efficiency:

• LED Lighting: We use energy-effi cient LED lighting throughout the hotel.
• Energy Management Systems: Automated systems to optimize heating and lighting in public areas.
• Solar Panels: Installed on our roof to provide a portion of our energy needs.

Elimination of Oil Fired System

• We have completely removed oil-fi red systems from the heating of our hotel. This action aligns with our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and promote a greener, more sustainable future.
• Energy Efficiency: By eliminating oil-fired systems, we have reduced greenhouse gas emissions and improved our overall energy efficiency. We have replaced these systems with cleaner, renewable heat pumps that have a lower environmental impact.
• Eco-friendly Technologies: We have invested in advanced, eco-friendly technologies to ensure that our energy usage is as efficient & environmentally responsible as possible.

Water Conservation:

• Low-Flow Fixtures: All guest room showers, faucets, and toilets are equipped with low-fl ow fi xtures to reduce water consumption.
• Towel Reuse Program: Encourage guests to reuse towels to save water and energy.

Waste Reduction:

• Recycling Program: Bins are provided in guest rooms to encourage recycling of paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum.
• Composting: Organic waste from our kitchen and dining areas is composted.
Sustainable Sourcing:
• Local and Organic Food: Our restaurant sources local, organic produce and sustainably farmed seafood.
• Eco-Friendly Products: Use of biodegradable and eco-friendly cleaning products.
Transportation:
• Electric Car Charging Points: Complimentary charging points for electric vehicles.
• Bicycle Rentals: Available for guests to explore the local area in an eco-friendly way.
• Service Van: Our maintenance service teams use an electric van.

Community Involvement:

• Local Partnerships: Collaboration with local environmental organisations such as the Killarney Hotels Sustainability Group, which is a group of 22 hotels that are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our services and activities, increasing the well-being of our employees and promoting responsible governance in the way we run our business and participation in The Killarney Coffee Cup Project, which aims to make Killarney Ireland’s first single-use coffee cup free town, launched this week supported by 21 hotels and 25 local independent coffee shops. It is estimated that the reusable takeaway system will remove over one million single-use coffee cups from the town annually, or 18.5 tonnes of waste.

Towel Reuse Program

We encourage our guests to participate in our towel reuse program to help conserve water and reduce energy consumption. Here’s how it works:
• Reusing Towels: If you would like to reuse your towels, please hang them on the towel rack. Towels left hanging will not be replaced.
• Fresh Towels: If you prefer fresh towels, please place the used ones in the bathtub or on the bathroom fl oor. Housekeeping will provide clean towels during their daily service.

Your participation in our towel reuse program is greatly appreciated and contributes to our sustainability efforts. If you have any questions or need additional towels, please contact housekeeping or the front desk.

Transportation – Airport

Private mini-van transportation to the airport and other transportation (car hire, taxi ) can be booked through front desk.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are available upon request at the front desk.
